Construction of a hydrochloric acid softening plant at EC SIEKIERKI
Description of the investment:
The EC Siekierki Thermal Power Station is one of the largest thermal power stations in Europe. It provides heat for Warsaw and generates power. Within the confines of modernization of a water pretreatment, INTROL constructed a hydrochloric acid storage facility. The new storage facility permits storage of 300 tons of 35% hydrochloric acid. So that the continuity of water supply could be maintained, the construction was conducted in two stages, on a “design-build” basis.
Scope of work:
• preparation of a comprehensive design
• performance of disassembly and demolition work on the old acid storage facility
• performance of construction work
• delivery and installation of process equipment, tanks, absorber and pumps
• construction of process pipelines
• construction of an acid fume neutralisation system
• construction of electrical systems
• installation of automation and measurement system
• start-up and training
