Description of the investment:

The Filtron company is a member of Affinia Group, an international automotive group, the leader in design, production, distribution and marketing on the global market of spare and heavy-duty parts. The task consisted in design, production and delivery of an automatic station for testing fuel filters for leaks. In order to shorter the test cycle time, the device was equipped with four stations.

Basic features of the station:

• device designed for testing fuel and oir filters for leaks with the use of an ATEQ vacuum pressure tester
• operator functions limited to inserting filters into sockets, pressing the “START” button
and removing filters after a finished test
• device can be used for testing filters of various sizes and types thanks to replacement
of testing equipment
• we manufacture test equipment for filter types specified by the Client
• mean test time ca. 16 seconds for a filter

Scope of work:

• mechanical, electrical and pneumatic design
• software for the PLC controller and Siemens operator panel
• integration of the Ateq testing device
• mechanical, electrical and pneumatic design of the station
• start-up of the line at the Client’s premises, SAT
• packing and transport to Filtron Gostyń Polska
• start-up, operator training and final acceptance at the Client’s premises, FAT
