Stationary fire detection system for a chemical works
Description of the investment:
ZACHEM is one of the biggest chemical plants in Poland. The company’s main product is toluene diisocyanate (TDI), an extremely toxic gas, that is used in industry by companies manufacturing polyurethane foam.
The production process requires the highest level of safety precautions. Introl engineers designed and put to operation a very sophisticated fix-point gas detection system for a wide range of chemicals.
Scope of work:
Installation of fixed-point gas detectors:
• phosgene (COCL2) – 102 pcs
• hydrochloric acid (HCl) – 5 pcs
• ammonia (NH3) – 24 pcs
• dichlorobenzene (DCB) – 16 pcs
• toluene disocyanate TDI – 12 pcs
• carbon monoxide (CO) – 50 pcs
• propylene (C3H6) – 29 pcs
• chlorine (Cl2) – 37 pcs
• dichloropropene (DCP) – 5 pcs
• acetic acid (C2H4O2) – 3 pcs
• delivery of control cabinets with local DCS
• SCADA
• integration with existing safety systems
• CCTV for safety monitoring of chlorine department
